Hace dos semanas, el 6 de octubre, S.A.S. el PrÃncipe Alexander Georgievich Romanoff fue bautizado en la Iglesia de la Transfiguración, dentro del complejo de la Catedral de Cristo Salvador en Moscú. El PrÃncipe Alexander es el primer hijo de S.A.S. el Gran Duque Jorge Mijáilovich de Rusia y S.A.S. la Princesa Victoria Romanovna Romanoff. Madame Oxana Girko, una de las madrinas del PrÃncipe Alexander, tuvo la amabilidad de compartir conmigo sus recuerdos del bautizo de su ahijado, asà como lo que significa para ella la dinastÃa Romanoff a nivel personal.
Me siento muy honrada y bendecida por haber sido elegida madrina de Su Alteza Real el PrÃncipe Alejandro Romanoff. La Familia Imperial de Rusia siempre ha sido un ejemplo de dignidad y cada miembro de la familia exhibe las más altas cualidades personales. Espero que la familia imperial continúe realizando obras de caridad y buenas acciones dentro del antiguo Imperio, que incluÃa a Rusia, Ucrania y muchos otros paÃses hoy independientes, trayendo paz, prosperidad, estabilidad, espiritualidad y valores positivos para el pueblo, independientemente de que la familia imperial esté o no en el trono.

La familia imperial ha sido un ejemplo inquebrantable de los valores familiares importantes para la nación, y esto es lo que considero verdaderamente vital, especialmente en nuestros tiempos modernos. Mis antepasados eran muy cercanos a la dinastÃa Romanoff durante la época del Imperio ruso, y creo que es muy significativo que después de la Revolución de 1917, después de unas cuantas generaciones, nuestros caminos de vida se hayan vuelto a unir. Es un signo de sanación y reconciliación para nuestro mundo en muchos sentidos. Estoy muy agradecido a Su Alteza Real la Gran Duquesa MarÃa Vladimirovna de Rusia, que decidió regresar con su familia a Rusia, a pesar de las dificultades polÃticas de la década de 1990. Es una persona fuerte y sabia que exhibe las mejores cualidades del ADN de la dinastÃa Romanoff.

Personalmente, admiro a Su Alteza Real la Gran Duquesa MarÃa Vladimirovna como una persona que encuentra una palabra amable para cada ser humano que conoce, que conecta y reúne a personas maravillosas a su alrededor, y que es hermosa y sabia. Creo que incluso su nombre es una señal de Dios: el mismo nombre que la Santa Madre… La dinastÃa Romanoff convirtió al Imperio ruso en uno de los paÃses más fuertes del mundo en muchos aspectos: ciencia, cultura, etc.

Today, the Romanoff dynasty helps to foster the traditions of the Orthodox religious institutions of the countries comprising the former Russian Empire, giving aid at different levels. HIH Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna raised her son, the HIH Grand Duke George Michailovich, in the same traditions in which she herself was raised: with love for the Russian Empire and all those peoples who comprised it, with a dedication of following historic traditions, and with a strong desire to care for and assist its peoples. HIH Grand Duke George Mikhailovich has been blessed by God: he met his love match in HSH Princess Victoria Romanovna, who is not only a beautiful and intelligent woman, but Princess Victoria has also been interested in Russian history and culture from her early childhood.

Now the imperial family helps people through their charitable foundations. The Romanoff dynasty’s goals are to help the sick and those suffering from food shortages, to encourage the endeavors of the creative intelligentsia, and to support many other projects of a spiritual and creative nature. I am blessed by God to have His Serene Highness Prince Alexander Georgievich as my godson. All my prayers are directed to the blessings of God on our planet, to all the peoples of the world, and, in particular, the peoples of the former Russian Empire, for the healing of all historical painful periods, for the restoration of peace and health, the well-being of people and creative processes in the entire global society.

By becoming parents to our own children, God helps us understand the importance of building a healthy and sustainable future for our descendants, and by allowing us to be godparents, God blesses us with an even higher level of love and responsibility to the generation of our relatives and godchildren. At his christening ceremony, HSH Prince Alexander was very calm: all the godmothers and godfathers emphasized and noted this quality of the newborn Prince Alexander.

Todos nosotros, los padrinos del prÃncipe Alexander y su familia, nos alegramos de la salud y la paz mental que se manifestó a través de este comportamiento tranquilo del prÃncipe, a pesar de su bautismo en agua bendita en un frÃo dÃa de invierno. El pequeño prÃncipe Alexander habÃa sido bendecido por Dios, y todos los creyentes pudieron ver y regocijarse por este milagro. Como dijo el padre Michael de Australia, quien dirigió la ceremonia del bautismo en inglés para los invitados extranjeros que asistieron a la ceremonia: " El bautismo es una oportunidad para que una persona se convierta en un santo. El prÃncipe Alexander Georgievich ha sido bendecido por Dios con esta gran oportunidad. Alegrémonos y ayudemos siempre a hacer la voluntad de Dios en nuestro planeta a través de nuestros actos y pensamientos terrenales " .
